In the foreground, a dark tray holds white jasmine, blue butterfly-pea and orange flowers, and a yellow bloom, with a mala of rudraksha beads laid across it. To the right, two small gold-coloured deity murtis of a seated god and goddess, one with a gold figure, are adorned with white jasmine and red, green, orange and blue flower garlands. Behind them stand a brass trident-topped stand, a brass kalasha vessel and a brass pot. In the background, a tall framed picture of a standing figure in saffron robes wears a red garland and a gold necklace. Two cardboard cutouts in the upper left show seated figures in orange robes and orange head wraps with gold necklaces, and a small framed image shows a similarly dressed figure before a temple gateway. Dhol drums and a Shiva picture appear at the edges.A home shrine photographed on a leopard-print cloth, with framed pictures garlanded in orange and yellow flowers. The central framed image shows Lord Shiva seated with a trident, dark-skinned with a crescent and matted hair. Beside it is a colourful framed deity murti in a yellow crown and red garments. A bronze deity murti with a crown and trident-like staff, garlanded with marigolds, white flowers and a yellow blossom, stands on a bronze pedestal before a halo-shaped backdrop. Beside it a second small murti in a yellow and magenta cloth sits on a gold lotus base with a red, green and orange garland. A brass oil lamp with blue flower petals, a small bowl of food with a white flower, and a black-and-yellow cord lie on the table. Behind is a framed photograph of a smiling woman with long hair, a red bindi and orange clothing, captioned in English with a quote about God being an experience, and a large poster of a figure in orange robes with gold necklaces. No people are physically present.A standing figure in a red-orange turban and saffron-orange robe, wearing multiple rudraksha malas and a garland of white flowers, holds a golden trident aloft beside a home shrine. The shrine holds a small deity murti, a book on a wooden stand, brass lamps, a framed picture, a silver figure, flowers and a brass plate. A framed portrait of a person in orange robes appears at the left edge, and a leopard-print cloth covers the table. Whether the standing figure is a candidate for a person cannot be confirmed from appearance alone, so the figure is described by role: a devotee-style presentation of a standing statue or portrait at a home altar.A home shrine set up on a leopard-print cloth covered table against a pale wall. Central is a life-size cutout of a smiling man in an orange turban, orange robe and layered rudraksha malas, holding a golden trident. Behind him hangs a framed Tanjore-style painting of a seated figure in pink and orange clothing with a green curtain and gold border. Flanking are a printed photo of a man in orange holding a trident on a dark background, a framed photo of a long-haired figure in orange, and a framed photo of a man in orange with a garland. An open book sits on a wooden stand, with brass lamps, lotus-shaped flowers, flower garlands and two small bronze figures in front. Offerings are arranged, which may reflect a puja.A home shrine set up on a leopard-print tablecloth with no people present. Center back is a large gold-framed photograph of a smiling man in orange robes seated before a banyan tree with his right hand raised, with a rudraksha-style necklace; this is a portrait, not a physical person. To its left is a framed image of a goddess in red and gold with a red and white flower garland, and at right a painted Shiva with trident and bull. A framed black-and-white photo with red flower garland sits at right, beside a folded rust-orange cloth with a jeweled clasp.
