A priest stands with his back partly to the camera in a mirrored shrine, bare-chested and wearing a white dhoti with a gold border, a red thread on his wrist, and a brass plate held out in his right hand. Before him on a gold-draped table stands a decorated deity murti with a tall gold crown, a red garland and jewelled adornments, flanked by two figures in green and brown-and-gold saris. Brass pots, a coconut, bananas and fruit lie on the table in front. Mirror panels and a painted ceiling frame the shrine; the scene reads as puja or aarti.2012-05-31 +2 copiesA bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with a gold-edged cloth over his shoulder stands at left, holding a brass plate with a lit flame toward a deity murti in a glass-walled shrine. The central murti wears a tall gold crown, a red and white garment, and a large jeweled necklace. Two flanking figures are draped in dark brown-gold and green-gold saris. A yellow-gold cloth covers the altar, where brass vessels, green bananas, a coconut and small fruits are arranged. The priest's back is toward the camera and his face is not clearly visible, so no identification is made. The shrine has mirrored panels and decorative colored glass. This is an aarti being performed before the murti.2012-05-31June 29 20142014-06-29 +1 copiesJune 29 20142014-06-29 +1 copiesApril 20 20112011-04-20July 18 20152015-07-18A temple puja scene: a bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with a purple-bordered cloth and a sacred thread stands at left holding a silver tray, while a seated attendant at left edge tends an offering.
