A black stone murti of Dakshinamurthi, the seated teacher form of Shiva, is set under an ornate silver arch with carved lions and a cobra hood at the top. The murti wears a red-orange cloth, a rudraksha mala, and a white-and-red flower garland with yellow marigolds and green leaves. A man in white clothes bows low at the base of the shrine, one hand touching the plinth. A brass bell and marigold petals lie on the stone step, and a black slab is inscribed 'Dakshinamurthi shrine'. Trees shade the outdoor courtyard.
