A black stone statue of Lord Dakshinamurthy, the seated form of Shiva as teacher, stands at the centre of an outdoor shrine beneath a spreading banyan tree. The murti is draped in an orange cloth, wears a saffron headcloth and a rudraksha mala, and is garlanded with red, yellow and green flower strands. Its four arms are raised, one holding a small drum-like object. Behind it, a large ornate silver arch frames the deity. The statue sits on a raised base of red-painted stones, with a black plinth bearing a Kannada-script signboard and an Om symbol below. Leafy branches and a paved ground surround the shrine.
