Night procession photographed in warm orange-red light from a nearby lamp. Several shaved-headed men in saffron-orange dhotis and wraps, many wearing rudraksha malas, move closely together and face various directions. A tall ceremonial standard with an ornate multicoloured top rises in the background, and a small flame glows beside it. Foreground figures are partly turned away, and one man near the centre has a shawl and a long rudraksha mala.2016-10-30October 30 20162016-10-30 +1 copiesOctober 30 20162016-10-30October 30 20162016-10-30Night procession outdoors on sandy ground with many devotees dancing in saffron and orange robes, some bare-chested with rudraksha malas and beaded necklaces, one wearing a white kurta and white turban-like cloth. Colourful decorated umbrellas and fringed parasols are raised above the crowd, and a bright floodlight shines from a raised platform in the background where figures stand near speakers. A white-clad man in the left foreground holds a long yellow-trimmed pole. Smoke drifts through the scene and people in the background wear purple and white saris.2016-10-30October 30 20162016-10-30 +1 copiesNight procession scene lit by warm lamplight. In the centre, a bald man in glasses wears a saffron-orange robe and a long rudraksha-style mala, with bangles on his arms and his head bowed slightly as he walks. Around him, several other monastics in orange robes move along a road, and a flaming torch glows in the background beside a parked vehicle. On the right, people in white ceremonial garments stand near a tall ornamental parasol with orange and gold trim. The mood is ceremonial, with a ratha-like procession setting. The page suggests a person is present, but the visible appearance is not distinctive enough to confirm, so the central figure is described by role only.2016-10-30November 19 20152015-11-19January 29 20102010-01-29October 30 20162016-10-30Photograph of a group of saffron-robed sannyasi men with shaved heads and white vibhuti lines on their foreheads, many in orange and red-gold dhotis and shawls, some wearing rudraksha malas and beaded necklaces. In the foreground a bare-chested man in an orange wrap with a red border holds his hands together, while others around him smile and dance in a lively group. A green draped cloth stands behind them, and more robed participants fill the background in an indoor hall with a light floor.2013-07-10Night-time outdoor scene at a festival or procession with warm street lights behind. Several monastic devotees stand with their backs to the camera: on the left a man in a peach-orange fleece jacket, in the centre a figure in a brownish-maroon dhoti with gold borders, and on the right a shaved-headed monk in a bright orange shawl over a red top. A smiling woman in a deep red sari with gold jewellery stands among them. A large multicoloured parasol with tassels, decorated with red and yellow, is held above the right side, and a red-and-gold ceremonial banner hangs at the edge. A man in a white shirt stands at the right edge. The a person candidate criteria are not met by any visible figure, so no identity is asserted.2013-02-05
