A person in saffron-orange and red robes with a red-and-gold shawl stands at left on a concrete path, hands joined at the chest, gazing upward toward a large black stone deity murti at right. The murti wears a yellow cloth, red flower garland and gold necklaces, and sits on a dark stone plinth ringed with red-painted stones and scattered flowers. A small brass oil lamp sits before it. Red earth and a low stone bench complete the setting. The person's appearance is not clearly established as a person, so the a person field is unsure.2013-09-11September 11 20132013-09-11May 28 20132013-05-28June 25 20132013-06-25September 11 20132013-09-11Outdoor shrine beneath a large banyan tree with hanging aerial roots. He wears an orange-saffron dhoti with a yellow-gold border, a long gold-coloured bead necklace, gold armlets and a dot of tilak on his forehead. To the right, a shrine arch of white carved stone frames a dark deity murti seated on a pedestal, draped in green cloth and white garments, in front of a large mound of red offerings. Red and white ritual rangoli-style mats are laid on the ground, and a yellow patterned cloth lies on the path. The figure's appearance is ambiguous, so identity is uncertain.2013-08-15May 28 20132013-05-28A photograph of an outdoor shrine beneath a large banyan tree with hanging aerial roots. A standing man in orange saffron clothes with a rudraksha mala around his neck and a white cloth on his left arm stands on a concrete path with palms joined in anjali, facing a black stone statue. The seated black stone statue, dressed in an orange cloth with garlands of marigolds and an orange head wrap, sits on a dark pedestal beneath a green draped canopy and an ornate silver arch. The pedestal and surrounding base are smeared with orange-red kumkum, and a small brass lamp sits nearby. A plain placard stands on the stone base. Earthen ground, a low wall and a concrete platform complete the scene.2011-06-26
