A photograph of a Maheshwara Puja food offering at an indoor gathering. On the left, a bearded man with long dark matted hair and a saffron-orange cloth draped over his shoulder receives food on a red plate and holds a yellow-tinged dish. A shaved-headed, bare-chested man with a rudraksha mala and a white hair-cloth on his chest offers a handful of yellow food. Behind them a woman in a white sari with a white hair net sits at a table, and devotees in saffron, orange and red saris and salwar stand in the background. A silver bowl of yellow food sits on a green leaf. Several people wear white hair nets and name badges.2016-12-18Long rows of saffron-robed sannyasis in orange turbans sit cross-legged on a white cloth runner along a polished floor, with green banana leaves laid before them holding yellow flowers, fruit and food offerings. Several sadhus have white sacred markings on their bodies and rudraksha malas around their necks. Behind them, seated devotees in white clothing watch from rows of chairs, and a man in a white dhoti stands at the right side near a camera tripod. A large screen and a gold-railed platform appear in the background. No single figure is identified as a person in this frame.2017-09-19May 23 20152015-05-23 +1 copiesOctober 23 20152015-10-23Annadhan in 20152015-01-01A photograph of a ritual scene outdoors. A figure on the left wears an orange turban, a long white jasmine garland, gold bracelets and a white bandage-like wrap on the arm, seated and smiling. Around him, women and devotees in white and orange-red shawls with rudraksha malas sit close together, several holding silver plates of offerings, small bowls and oil lamps. One woman in a red blouse and white sari holds a bowl near the figure, another in red and gold kneels with a tilak, and a woman in white with a red shawl pours from a bowl. Behind them, older devotees sit with hands folded in namaste. The setting shows a rope barrier and greenery, consistent with a puja or abhishekam gathering.2014-12-17Interior hall during a seated ritual meal offering. A figure in orange and red sits on a gold throne at the far left, with a standing attendant in white beside them and a lit lamp nearby. Long rows of seated devotees face the center. Many women in orange and maroon robes with rudraksha malas press their palms together, while others in white saris and white garments sit on a striped mat in the foreground. Before them are leaf plates with food, small cups and bowls. Yellow flowers and a brass tray of offerings lie at the front. Red walls and framed images of saffron-clad figures line the background.2016-02-23Annadhan during Allahabad Kumbhamela 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesOctober 12 20062006-10-12Annadhan in 20152015-01-01 +1 copiesJanuary 14 20082008-01-14Indoor ritual gathering in a hall with a deep red feature wall and purple damask-patterned panels. A saffron-robed figure seated on a gold-and-red throne at the right, wearing a saffron turban and a red shawl, faces a large seated group on the floor. Rows of people in saffron and orange robes sit on the left and centre, while others in white clothes and red-orange shawls sit and stand along the back. A red patterned rug, brass bowls of food, metal dishes, a steel flask and leaf-plates are arranged in front. Several printed panels hang on the wall behind. The figure on the throne matches the page's description of a person only with a probable appearance cue of a saffron turban and ornate seating, so this is recorded as an appearance-based candidate.2015-10-23
