A priest in a rust-red turban, rust-red dhoti and sash, and a rudraksha mala with a large gold pendant stands on a riverbank, holding a silver bell in his right hand and a flower-decked item in his left while chanting. Beside him is a ritual arrangement with a kalasha-style offering draped in white jasmine garlands and orange cloth, surrounded by green leaves and coconuts, with a silver trishul standing nearby and a decorated yellow umbrella at the upper right. A river flows behind with dry grass and a concrete bridge pillar.2014-03-24Outdoor river ritual on the bank of a flowing river with a concrete bridge behind. A man in a rust-red turban and red-orange dhoti and shawl, with rudraksha malas and a gold pendant, stands holding a silver bell while officiating. A silver trident stands in the foreground beside a decorated altar with coconuts, a white flower garland, red and gold cloth, and a yellow fringed umbrella. A fire with brass pots and vessels burns at the lower left, consistent with a homa. Two small figures appear at the edge. The man's appearance is not clearly identifiable, so he is described by role as a priest; a person candidate is uncertain.2014-03-24A photograph at a riverside ghat beside a fast-flowing river, showing a bare-chested man with long dark hair and a rudraksha mala, wearing an orange-and-saffron cloth, seated behind a small altar draped in a red-and-gold brocade cloth. He holds a silver ritual vessel over a burning oil lamp on a silver tray, with red flowers, silver pots and a silver spouted vessel arranged nearby. A woman in saffron clothing sits beside him, and a cameraman stands further back. Dry grass and bare trees line the far bank, with a few onlookers on a raised platform at upper right. The scene suggests a fire ritual at the river.2014-03-24May 21 20142014-05-21December 16 20172017-12-16A standing man in saffron-orange cloth holds a brass aarti lamp with a flame in his right hand and a small bell in his left, performing ritual worship outdoors under green trees. A seated woman in a red shawl at right holds a tall white ceremonial staff beside a brick fire pit with a bright flame and a brass bowl. Behind them, a garlanded kalasha pair with orange and green cloth stands on a draped table before a carved stone structure. A girl in orange sits nearby and onlookers stand at the top edge. The visible man's appearance does not clearly match the a person candidate cues, so he is described only by role.2014-03-24A standing young man in orange saffron cloth draped over one shoulder performs an aarti with a brass lamp holding two flames in one hand and a small brass bell in the other.
