A photograph of a ritual at a riverside ghat, with a smiling man seated in the foreground wearing a red-and-saffron robe, a thick rudraksha mala necklace and a red wrist thread. He holds a flaming oil lamp (arati) over a silver kalasha-style pot, with a small brass deity figure and flower offerings on a tray before him. Behind him on the stone steps, a crowd of devotees sits with hands pressed in prayer, several women in orange and red clothing, and a woman in a patterned shawl. Two tall ceremonial staffs stand at the back, and a plume of smoke rises from the ritual fire. The name of the person in the foreground is not visibly identified in the image itself, so a person is set to unsure.2014-03-24A photograph of a ritual at a riverbank ghat. Two silver vessels sit on a red-and-gold patterned cloth in front, and a small figure is visible on the stand. Behind them a seated crowd in orange, red and white clothing, including women in saffron and a young girl, watches attentively, with some people standing among trees in the background. This appears to be an abhishekam or homa-related offering at a riverside setting. The man's appearance with long swept-back hair and rudraksha beads is consistent with a Swamiji (probable) presence, performing the ritual pouring.2014-03-24May 27 20132013-05-27A photograph of a homa at an evening gathering. A seated figure in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban, with long braided hair, rudraksha beads and a large gold pendant necklace, tends a small brick fire pit with flames. Brass bowls, a kalasha-style vessel, oil lamps and a tray of offerings sit around the fire, with bundled wood beside it. Behind them, about a dozen seated devotees in white clothing with mala beads watch and sit with hands folded. The setting is a tiled floor, and a blue cloth is visible at the right edge.2013-12-09A photograph of a person in a red-orange wrap and a rudraksha mala, holding a silver oil lamp with a lit flame in the right hand and a silver bell in the left, performing an aarti-style ritual.
