A man with long dark hair in an orange saffron robe sits cross-legged on a raised seat at the right, facing a large crowd. Around him, numerous monks and sannyasis wear orange robes, while many devotees in white clothing sit on the ground with hands folded in anjali. Left of centre stands a dark stone Shiva lingam with an orange cloth and white garlands, set on a red-painted rock platform bordered in white. Rows of orange flags on tall poles and white bunting strung between trees decorate the area.2006-07-12Outdoor ashram ritual under a large banyan tree. A tall white Shiva linga is draped with a red-and-cream striped cloth and a canopy hangs above it, sitting on a raised rocky platform. A figure in cream-white robes and a white head wrap stands near the linga amid smoke or incense, performing the rite. Devotees in mostly white clothing sit on rocks and the ground in the foreground, some in red, orange and saffron garments, many people kneeling or seated on the rocky ground while others stand behind in the shade.2005-03-08A photograph of an outdoor satsang under a large banyan tree. Devotees sit on woven mats on bare earth, mostly seen from behind, with many in white clothing and some women in orange shawls and a teal sari. Ahead, a seated figure in orange robes and a garland sits before an arched shrine-like backdrop, with a tall orange-and-white flag arrangement on poles framing the scene. A bright orange cloth canopy hangs overhead. Several people in the foreground are in white kurtas and white dhotis, and a child in a blue shirt sits at the right edge.2006-10-06
