A photograph of a seated meal in a dim hall with white walls and a white pillar. Many men sit cross-legged on a bare floor eating from steel plates heaped with white rice and side dishes. Several wear pale blue and light shirts, one bare-chested man sits at right, and a server in green stands at left holding a plate of rice. A green electric fan is visible at right. No one in the frame is a clear a person candidate, so the scene is an ordinary communal meal.2012-05-25 +2 copiesSeptember 12 20112011-09-12 +1 copiesAugust 22 20152015-08-22 +1 copiesA photograph of a hall with a tiled floor where several men sit on the ground eating from metal plates of rice. In the centre, a bald saffron-robed man in orange with a maroon border kneels and reaches into a large steel bowl of cooked rice and spices, while a woman in orange sari with maroon border, seated at left, also presses rice from a bowl. Behind them, a large framed portrait of a woman in orange robes is garlanded with red and white flowers, and a smaller framed image sits on a white cloth-covered chair. Other devotees in white and orange sit on mats along the wall, one in white with a gold chain and another in orange, with a microphone stand visible. A round carved wooden stool stands at left.2011-03-05August 25 20142014-08-25 +2 copiesSeptember 11 20162016-09-11A long, plain hall with pale tiled floor and grey walls strung with orange and yellow paper lanterns, where people sit in two rows on the floor eating from metal plates. A woman in a blue sari with a pink blouse stands at left holding a plate and carrying food. Men in white shirts and white dhotis or orange-and-white cloth walk down the centre aisle serving food, and a man in an orange lungi sits in the foreground eating. Many more seated diners line the far right. Cardboard boxes and a black speaker sit at the left edge. This appears to be a communal meal, annadan style, rather than a ritual event.2011-09-12 +1 copies
