Behind them, several people in saffron and orange robes and rudraksha malas stand with white ash on their foreheads and chests, one holding a small bowl, with a drummer and orange-cloth decorations in the background. The scene looks like a welcoming or blessing ritual at an outdoor ashram event.2015-05-13January 03 20172017-01-03May 06 20182018-05-06December 19 20162016-12-19January 01 20192019-01-01September 10 20112011-09-10A shaved-headed priest in a white dhoti with an orange-gold shawl and a red rudraksha-style mala stands bare-chested at left, holding a brass lamp or incense vessel from which smoke rises. Before him a decorated ritual arrangement is adorned with yellow and red marigold garlands, green leaves and a pink-covered base, with brass lamps on either side. Smoke drifts across the frame under a dark night sky, with hanging string decorations and yellow-fringed canopy above. Several other figures are partially visible at the edges.2016-12-07 +1 copies
