Outdoor Pongal ceremony under a thatched shelter at an ashram. Two clay pots decorated with white lines and flower garlands sit on brick hearths with burning firewood, framed by sugarcane stalks tied into tripods with leaves. Around them, women in orange and red saris stand with hands folded in prayer, and a few men in orange dhotis and shawls stand nearby. White kolam rangoli designs cover the ground, with red mats laid out and a dry-leaf bundle at the edge.

Outdoor Pongal harvest ritual in a courtyard with a red brick wall and trees behind. Three upright sugarcane stalks are tied at their tops and stand over clay pots with turmeric-tied necks on brick bases. A woman in a white sari with a gold border stands barefoot at left, holding a hand near a pot. A man in a white dhoti with a gold waistband and a bare chest, wearing a dark necklace, stands at right beside the sugarcane. Behind them, people in saffron-orange robes hold up ornate orange umbrella-shaped canopies embroidered with red, blue and gold motifs and bird emblems. Outdoor procession at a Brahmotsava celebration on a sunny day with bare trees and a metal-frame stage canopy behind. Several people in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha malas walk beside an ornate red and gold parasol with fringed tassels, held aloft by an attendant. A tall golden staff with a finial and a trishul-style standard appear in the procession. A bearded man in orange robes and dark-rimmed glasses holds the golden staff. Nearby, people in plain white clothes with dark malas stand watching, and a woman in a green sari stands at the left edge. Some participants wear flower garlands and a young child in white stands in the foreground.

Outdoors beneath a large banyan tree with aerial roots, a group of devotees in orange and saffron robes and white dhotis gathers on a dark polished stone platform. A woman in an orange sari with a white and red garland stands at center holding a brass plate and cup, while a man in orange with a long staff stands to her left. A bearded man on the far left in white and yellow holds a plate. A cameraman in white films the scene. White painted stone surrounds the tree base, which is draped with a garland of yellow and purple flowers.

A procession on a dirt road lined with green shrubs and trees. Several saffron-robed sannyasis walk in a line; a man in the center wears an orange turban and orange robes and carries nothing visible, while a sannyasi behind him holds a decorated box. Two men in white dhotis with yellow shawls hold up colourful fringed parasols on long poles, and a cameraman with a camera on the left films the group. The white-clad attendants and saffron-clad monastics suggest a ceremonial walk, possibly a person appearance in the procession.

A procession of devotees walks along a paved path under ornate umbrellas with red poles and gold-and-red fringed canopies, one blue and gold. A woman in a white top and lavender skirt with an orange lanyard holds a pole, followed by others in white and orange garlands. On the right a young man in a white shirt with an orange lanyard holds a pole, and a woman in orange robes with long plaited hair stands at the edge. A bare-chested man in a white dhoti walks on the left among palm trees and flowering shrubs. No a person-appearance candidate is clearly visible.

A procession on a cloth-covered path under large banyan-type trees. A central man with a tall dark turban-style headdress wears a rust-red dhoti and a long red-and-white flower garland, with gold armbands and a gold necklace, and walks forward while a woman in orange robes beside him reaches toward him. Behind him women in orange saris and white-and-gold saris carry brass kalasha pots with flower arrangements. Two men in white dhotis with rudraksha malas, one holding a trident-like staff, walk at the left. Above them a red, yellow and multicolour ceremonial umbrella and yellow-orange flags with emblems are carried in the procession, and a metal railing lines the path.
