A photograph of a shaved... no. A man with shoulder-length dark hair kneels on a white cloth with palms pressed together in namaste, eyes closed, bare-chested except for an orange-saffron cloth draped over his shoulders and waist, with white vibhuti marks on his forehead and upper arm. Two women in orange saris stand on either side; the one at left holds a brass plate of yellow flowers. Behind them, a floor covered with green leaf mats bears yellow flowers, offerings and small containers. Another person in white sits at the far right.2019-01-01A seated figure in a rust-red robe with a long saffron-orange beaded mala and a gold hair ornament sits on a gilded wooden seat under a yellow fringed canopy, holding a yellow cloth. Before him, a man in white with a red shawl kneels and performs padapuja, washing or offering at the seated figure's feet, while a woman in white with a beaded necklace kneels nearby. Behind them, several women in white and red shawls sit or stand in a white-tiled hall, some wearing red and rudraksha-style beads, watching the ritual. This appears to be a padapuja during a satsang setting, with people sitting on the floor.2013-12-20September 16 20132013-09-16September 09 20132013-09-09A large tented hall during an evening Rudra Abhishekam ritual. At the centre, a bare-chested priest in white dhoti stands behind a wooden platform holding a brass vessel, while other priests in white and saffron-clad attendants work around offerings. Brass plates of flowers, fruit and marigold garlands line the red floor, and decorated kalasha-style pots sit in the foreground. Seated devotees in white clothing fill the left side of the tent, and colourful hanging decorations and a banana plant frame the right. No figure is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance cues, so no candidate is recorded.2016-12-02November 25 20092009-11-25December 26 20092009-12-26July 16 20062006-07-16Outdoor procession at a Brahmotsava celebration on a sunny day with bare trees and a metal-frame stage canopy behind. Several people in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha malas walk beside an ornate red and gold parasol with fringed tassels, held aloft by an attendant. A tall golden staff with a finial and a trishul-style standard appear in the procession. A bearded man in orange robes and dark-rimmed glasses holds the golden staff. Nearby, people in plain white clothes with dark malas stand watching, and a woman in a green sari stands at the left edge. Some participants wear flower garlands and a young child in white stands in the foreground.2008-12-23A photograph of a seated man in a saffron-orange turban and saffron robe, wearing a multicolour marigold and rose garland with green and blue accents, sitting on an ornate gilded throne draped with red zebra-striped fabric. A kneeling woman in white with a red-brown hairstyle, glasses and a rudraksha mala holds a small brass dish and offers it to him while he extends his hand toward it. Behind them a large crowd of devotees in white and saffron stands under banana leaves and a saffron banner with a floral motif, at night. Swamiji (probable): the seated man wears a turban, saffron robes, a garland and ceremonial gold necklace on a throne, which matches the page's Swamiji reference.2015-08-09A seated person in brown-red robes and a beaded mala kneels on a red and navy patterned carpet under a yellow and red patterned canopy, while a man in orange robes bends forward to place a marigold garland over the kneeling figure's head. An orange parasol is held overhead. Standing behind are men in white dhotis with gold borders and ornate necklaces, several men in orange and saffron robes with rudraksha malas, and a man in an orange turban on the right. The scene suggests a formal honouring ceremony with garlands and an umbrella.2016-04-18January 15 20162016-01-15
