A large, ancient banyan tree dominates the frame, its thick grey trunks and many aerial prop roots descending in dense columns to the reddish soil. Wide horizontal limbs spread across the upper frame beneath a canopy of green leaves. A thin green wire runs across the lower branches. No people or ritual activity are visible, and the setting appears to be an outdoor grove or temple grounds.2013-06-28June 15 20132013-06-15June 24 20132013-06-24 +1 copiesJuly 05 20132013-07-05 +1 copiesJune 18 20132013-06-18June 18 20132013-06-18October 24 20122012-10-24August 31 20142014-08-31A large, ancient banyan tree dominates the frame, its wide spreading limbs and dense green canopy arching overhead. Numerous aerial roots hang down and merge into thick trunk-like columns around a central trunk. At the base, a small dark shrine opening sits among the roots, with a low stone platform and reddish earth in the foreground. On the right, a metal railing and a few figures in orange and yellow clothing stand near the tree, and a faint small figure is visible at the left base. The tree is the main subject, set in an outdoor sacred grove.2015-08-23A large, ancient banyan tree dominates the frame, with a thick, buttressed trunk split into many hanging aerial roots and sprawling horizontal limbs spreading across the image. Green leaves cluster among the branches, and reddish-brown earth and a low stone-walled platform lie at the base.
