His forehead and arms bear white vibhuti markings and he pours from or sorts flower petals in a silver vessel. Nearby, a brass kalasha-style vessel, a lit oil lamp on a stand with yellow marigold garlands, a pink lotus bundle and a yellow-and-black kolam or rangoli design on the floor are arranged around him. Two standing attendants in white dhotis with gold borders stand at left with folded hands. This appears to be a puja setup with lamps and flowers.2014-10-02September 06 20142014-09-06 +1 copiesApril 26 20182018-04-26A photo of a ritual at a temple setting. A bare-chested man in a rust-orange turban and rust-orange dhoti with gold border stands and bends over a silver tray of yellow-turmeric-coated coconuts wrapped with straw and green leaves, arranged on a silver plate with a banana leaf and pink flower petals. He holds a small silver bell in one hand and reaches toward the coconuts with the other. He wears a long silver chain necklace and a rudraksha bracelet, with white sacred ash marks on his arms. Striped woven mats cover the floor, and a seated devotee in orange robes appears at the left beside silver furniture. Yellow turmeric blocks stand at the left edge.2018-04-26A seated man in a rust-red robe and many rudraksha malas grinds a substance in a black stone mortar on a striped floor mat. He wears a leopard-print headband over long dreadlocked hair, a white vertical mark on his brow, and a red tilak. Silver vessels and bowls stand on a silver stool to his left, beside a silver sculpted animal figure, brass lamps and a trident-shaped brass stand. A large golden sunburst backdrop and green plants fill the background, and a microphone stand is visible. A workshop setting with herbal preparation for a healing ritual.2017-12-10 +2 copies
