White sacred ash marks his forehead and arms, with a red bindi. Around him, young boys in maroon-red robes with rudraksha malas sit with folded hands. Brass plates with flower petals, small brass lamps and offering trays rest on silver-topped tables. A large plastic container sits in the foreground.2013-12-04A shaved-headed man in a saffron-red dhoti and wrap with a thick rudraksha mala and white horizontal tripundra on his forehead sits cross-legged on the floor, lighting a small oil lamp with a flame and holding a brass bell in his other hand. Around him, several young boys in red robes with white forehead marks sit at the same level; one raises his arm holding a flower. Silver bowls, a kalasha-style pot, a plate of pink and yellow flowers and a bowl of kumkum sit on a low silver tray, with a seated audience in white clothes behind. The setting is a plain hall with posters on the wall. This appears to be a puja or ritual offering in a satsang setting.2013-11-25August 21 20142014-08-21November 20 20132013-11-20December 25 20132013-12-25December 31 20132013-12-31 +1 copiesSeptember 06 20142014-09-06January 06 20172017-01-06November 10 20112011-11-10A photograph of a ritual puja in a large hall with a red-brown wall and hanging lights. In the centre, a bald man in a rust-orange dhoti and shawl, wearing rudraksha malas and a gold pendant, sits cross-legged holding a small oil lamp aloft in his right hand while gesturing with his left. Around him, many people in saffron-orange garments sit on the floor, some holding lamps and ritual items, and a row of brass and silver puja plates with fruit, flowers and lamps lies on the mat in front. Several people wear rudraksha beads and white or orange kurtas, and a white-haired figure sits at the left edge. Flame lamps glow throughout the room. The central man has no distinctive a person cues such as long swept-back hair, a crown or ceremonial gold necklaces beyond a pendant, so his identity is uncertain.2017-01-08
