A photograph of a ceremonial puja in front of a gold-framed throne bearing a large portrait labelled "PARAMAHAMSA NITHYANANDA". The portrait shows a smiling figure in an orange turban and orange shawl with a red bindi, and a tiger-skin cloth covers the throne's cushion. Two steel oil lamps with many flames stand in the foreground, and a fruit plate sits to the left of the throne. On the left, a shaved-headed priest in maroon robes and a sacred thread sits with his back to the camera. On the right, a woman in white sari-style clothing kneels and holds a small ritual vessel toward the throne. A printed banner behind shows a woman in red with a rudraksha mala, and the words "Inner Awakening" are partly visible.2014-01-12A photo of a seated devotee gathering in a hall. A man in orange robes and a rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne at the upper right, with a red bindi on his forehead and long swept-back hair. Several devotees in white and yellow-bordered clothing sit on the floor in the foreground, holding lit oil lamps, one with a brass lamp stand. A woman in a red top and a woman in a white outfit with a yellow shawl are among them. Light beige walls and a dark blue curtain form the backdrop. The scene reads as satsang with an evening lamp offering.2010-10-08July 17 20142014-07-17A photograph of a ritual at a golden shrine set up with a large printed portrait labelled "PARAMAHAMSA NITHYANANDA", showing a smiling man in an orange turban and orange shawl. On the throne is a framed portrait labelled PARAMAHAMSA NITHYANANDA, showing a smiling figure in an orange turban and orange robe. A tiger-skin cushion and gold lion-head armrests frame the throne. A shaven-headed priest in orange-red robes sits in the left foreground, facing a multi-tiered silver aarti lamp with many lit oil lamps. A woman in white sits to the right of the throne, and another woman in orange-red sits near the left back. Red and gold cloth covers the floor, with brass offering plates on the low table.2014-01-20 +1 copiesA seated man on an ornate gold-and-red throne with his eyes closed and palms pressed together, wearing an orange saffron shawl over a leopard-print top, long dark hair swept back and a tilak on his forehead. Around him devotees kneel in prayer with folded hands: a woman in a teal blouse and cream sari, a woman in a yellow sari, a man in a white shirt with rudraksha mala, and others in white. Brass trays of flowers and fruit sit in front of the throne, and a gold-framed side table holds more offerings. The setting is a hall with a dark blue curtain and a painted temple backdrop on the right. The seated figure has distinctive long swept-back hair and saffron shawl, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) on a throne being honoured during a pada puja.2010-09-19A seated man on a gilded throne with red cushions holds a silver ceremonial staff with his right hand and smiles. He wears an orange-saffron wrap, an orange turban and a floral garland of white and orange blooms. Around him, many devotees in white or cream clothes and saffron-red shawls sit on the floor holding small lit oil lamps and offering flowers from brass plates, in a pada puja setting. Red drapes and potted plants fill the background, and a camera-lit room with a thick gilded frame surrounds the throne. Swamiji (probable): the man on the throne wears an orange turban, saffron wrap and floral garland, with ceremonial staff and throne, matching the page's Pada Puja event.2014-08-05December 25 20142014-12-25A seated figure in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, a garland of white flowers draped over its back. Behind him a large portrait shows a smiling man in a blue turban, and a brass oil lamp and a framed picture stand on a side table. In front of the throne, a group of devotees sits on the floor around a gold plate with flowers and offerings, one man in white with a neck malas and forehead markings pouring from a small vessel, women in green, orange and blue saris. The scene looks like a puja or satsang in a hall with red curtains and a standing cooler.2011-09-17January 12 20142014-01-12December 04 20132013-12-04February 24 20112011-02-24
