November 01 20112011-11-01October 29 20112011-10-29A photograph of a ceremonial blessing in an ashram hall. A man in a bright yellow turban, yellow shawl, green silk garment and layered rudraksha malas raises his right hand to press a finger to the forehead of a devotee with short dark hair and a white shirt. The devotee stands with hands folded. Behind them, a man in orange robes and a shaved head watches. On the left, several men in orange and white shirts stand with palms pressed together. Gold ornate deity decorations and orange and red garlands appear in the background, with a projection screen on the left.2011-12-01September 16 20122012-09-16A photograph of a blessing scene indoors. A long-haired figure with curly dark hair wears an orange-saffron garment over a red-pink top, with multiple gold-toned and beaded necklaces and bangles. This person's right hand is raised, palm placed on the forehead of a kneeling young man in a checked shirt who presses his hands together in anjali. Nearby, a man in a dark navy shirt stands with hands folded in namaste, and a shaved-headed man in an orange garment with a rudraksha mala and white tilak stands at right. Background shows a projected screen, floral decorations and a deity murti. Probable identity cues: long swept hair, saffron-orange clothing and ornate beaded necklaces; the figure gives a blessing, so the candidate appears in person with that role.2011-12-05 +1 copiesA photograph inside a hall with colourful striped banners hanging behind. A long-haired figure in saffron-orange robes and a dark rudraksha mala places a hand on the head of a man in a white shirt, who stands with hands together. Next to them a shaved-headed priest in orange robes with white tripundra marks and a gold-beaded necklace stands beside a silver tray. Several onlookers in shirts and a child in a navy top watch nearby.2010-10-26 +1 copiesAugust 23 20112011-08-23A photograph of an indoor hall in which a person with long swept-back dark hair, wearing a rust-brown garment, a multi-strand gold necklace, and a long garland of red, yellow and white flowers, reaches out to touch the forehead of a devotee. The person's wrist bears a gold bangle and a red bead bracelet is visible on the right. Several men stand in a line with palms pressed together in namaste; one wears a red-and-white striped shirt and another a white shirt. On the far right a shaved-headed man in a bare chest wears white tripundra markings and a rudraksha mala. Ceiling lights and a faint saffron-clad figure appear in the background. The central figure has distinctive long hair, ornate gold necklaces and a garland, consistent with a person blessing devotees.2013-07-21A photograph of a satsang-style gathering in which a person with long dark hair, a red bindi and an orange saffron garment with a red flower garland and gold ceremonial necklaces places a hand on the forehead of a seated devotee in a light blue shirt with grey hair and a moustache, who has his hands folded in prayer. A rudraksha bracelet is visible on the wrist of the person giving the blessing, and the person holds a small white paper in the other hand. Several other men in the background watch with hands joined, and a blurred red backdrop fills the room.2011-06-05October 30 20112011-10-30October 29 20112011-10-29September 15 20122012-09-15
