Many shaven-headed men in white dhotis and shawls sit on orange-red mats with brass lamps and vessels before them. Several wear rudraksha malas and white tripundra markings on their foreheads. In the lower right foreground, a man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala and folded palms sits with a book open before him, and a man in orange with a grey beard sits lower left, both appearing to take part in the ritual. Their faces show concentration. The mood is devotional and orderly.2010-10-19
