Men in white dhotis and shirts stand along the back, several with palms pressed together, while two men hold up a red banner with Tamil lettering. Women and girls in colourful saris and salwar kameez sit cross-legged on woven mats in front of rows of small oil lamps, with a few children nearby. A wall portrait shows a smiling man in an orange turban, and a small framed deity image sits in the centre. On a raised red-and-white striped platform, a shaved-headed priest in a saffron-orange robe sits at the centre, playing a small handheld instrument, flanked by two men in white with yellow shawls. Behind them stands a framed portrait garlanded with marigolds, beside an ornate golden throne-like seat. Women in white saris and a girl in pink sit on the floor in the foreground, many with small red trays holding lit oil lamps. A few people in white sit further back. Nightlights and greenery frame the scene.2009-12-30December 29 20102010-12-29November 12 20082008-11-12March 23 20112011-03-23December 14 20102010-12-14
