A monk in saffron-orange robes sits on the front steps, while a large group of men in white shirts and dhotis, plus several women in colourful saris, sits on the reddish earth in a semicircle listening to him. A small tree and a dark sky frame the scene. The orange-robed figure's appearance is not clearly identifiable, so no identification is made.
