October 07 20112011-10-07A photograph of a temple shrine where a man in saffron-orange robes bends forward and pours liquid from a vessel over a small silver deity murti on a gilded wooden stand. Behind him, two large painted deity statues sit on a yellow-and-red shrine with garlands, and a smaller green-robed figure stands in a side niche. Two small orange-clad attendant figures flank the stand. The floor is wet, and a red mat lies at the bottom edge. The man is a priest performing abhishekam, and no identifiable face is shown.2011-10-07A woman in an orange saffron sari-style garment stands at the left edge, holding a small brass lamp toward a shrine on a grey stone platform. The shrine has carved stone pillars and red curtains, with a gold arch framing a deity murti of a seated couple, decorated with flower garlands and red and blue cloth. Smaller statues in front are adorned with garlands, and a white cloth covers an object on the platform. Two brass oil lamps stand on tall stands beside the shrine, and white and orange flowers are scattered on the ledge.2008-08-07A shaved-headed priest in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, wearing a beaded necklace, performs a ritual at a golden palanquin-style stand holding three bronze deity murtis draped in orange cloth. He holds a long ceremonial cloth or offering vessel over the central murti. Behind, a large deity figure in yellow and blue garments with a garland is seen in a temple shrine, and a woman in white stands at left near a pillar with a red-and-orange curtain. Stone temple walls carry carved floral motifs. The priest's appearance does not clearly match the page's claim, so he is described by role only.2011-10-07A shaved-headed man in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, with a rudraksha mala and a gold bracelet, performs aarti with a silver lamp before a metal utsava murti standing on a small red-based pedestal. Two smaller saffron-clad attendant figurines flank the murti on a gold-trimmed wooden stand. Behind is a shrine with a large deity murti draped in yellow and orange cloth and garlanded with white flowers, with a red curtain and stone carvings on the right. The man is standing barefoot on a wet stone floor. The deity figures are sculpted, not living people, so the count is one physical person.2011-10-07October 07 20112011-10-07A temple ritual photograph in which a young man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl stands bent forward, one hand raised over a gilded deity murti of a standing figure flanked by two smaller attendant figures on a carved wooden base. Garlands of yellow and purple flowers hang on the shrine behind. Behind the murti, a seated white statue wears an orange cloth and sits on a gold-trimmed throne beneath red drapery. Brass oil lamps stand along the stone platform, and a man in white dhoti holds a brass tray of offerings at left. Steel bowls sit on the wet stone floor. Carved stone walls frame the scene.2010-11-12A temple shrine with a grey stone base and gold-framed niches holds a large deity murti of Shiva and Parvati seated behind a central lingam decorated with white and red garlands. A shaved-headed priest in an orange robe kneels at the front of the platform, tending brass lamps and offerings. To the left, a man in an orange t-shirt with a printed portrait stands near a red curtain, and a small figure of a bull sits on the floor. A red mat lies on the ground in front, and a niche on the right holds a standing figure in red and gold.2013-07-14A photograph of a stone shrine with carved pillars and a golden arched frame. Inside, a large deity murti pair stands on a pink-draped backdrop, one figure in a blue skirt and the other in a red sari, both adorned with garlands and gold ornaments. In front, a decorated seated figure is garlanded with flowers, flanked by two smaller seated figures in orange and red robes with a brass lamp. In the foreground, a person in an orange sleeveless robe with cropped dark hair stands with their back to the camera, hands raised before the shrine, with a lit oil lamp and flower offerings on the stone ledge.2008-08-07October 07 20112011-10-07A temple shrine with a deity murti pair seated on a red-draped dais, adorned with yellow and purple garlands. In front, a shaven-headed priest in orange robes and a gold chain holds a lit oil lamp in one hand and a small bell in the other, performing aarti. Below, golden figures of a deity and attendants stand on a stone ledge. Brass oil lamps and ornate stone carvings frame the sanctum. A white-and-orange seated figure sits at the centre of the altar, and the priest is the only physical person visible.2010-11-12November 26 20112011-11-26
