Each silver-coloured metal pot holds a coconut capped with white jasmine garland and crowned with mango leaves, and each coconut bears red and yellow kumkum marks. Scattered leaves and rice lie on the cloth, and a colourful rangoli design appears at the lower right corner. No people are visible.2006-10-16Night photograph of a dense field of brass kalasha pots, each topped with a husked coconut wrapped in green leaves and garlanded with white and orange flowers, with red kumkum-like marks on the coconuts. Many pots are set in rows on the ground. Blurred figures in colourful clothing stand at the edges, and a few lamp flames glow at the right. No individual person is clearly visible in the foreground. Ritual kalasha offerings are arranged in preparation for a temple ceremony.2007-01-12June 29 20142014-06-29 +1 copiesJanuary 12 20072007-01-12December 22 20062006-12-22Photograph of brass and metal plates arranged on a reddish-brown wooden ledge holding offerings of split coconuts with white flesh exposed, ripe bananas, white jasmine-style flower clusters, green leaves and small red flowers. Small printed cards with a red-bordered picture are tucked among the plates. A patch of white powder is dusted on the wood. A person in a striped garment is partly visible at the top right edge, and a figure in pale clothing appears at the far right. The setting suggests a temple offering table during a ritual.2006-10-13July 16 20062006-07-16September 21 20172017-09-21 +1 copies
