Close-up photograph of many brass kalasha pots set side by side, each topped with a husked coconut wrapped in coir fibre and crowned with fresh green mango leaves. Loose dried grass or straw strands lie scattered across the arrangement. No people are visible; the frame is filled with the pots, coconuts and leaves on a ground surface.2006-12-22July 16 20062006-07-16Close-up photo of rows of brass-rimmed kalasha pots, each topped with a green mango-leaf garland and a coconut with red kumkum marks, wrapped in white netted fabric with gold sparkle. No people are visible, so this shows ritual pots prepared for the Sapta Yaagam fire offerings at Salem rather than the event itself. The image is blurred and the pots fill the frame.2006-07-16A close photograph of several brass kalasha pots arranged on a woven mat, each wrapped in white cotton thread and topped with a coconut and fresh green mango leaves, with red and yellow kumkum marks on the pots and coconuts. Behind them, the orange-robed lap of a seated person is visible, and a small brass vessel with leaves sits at the right edge. The arrangement suggests a puja or abhishekam preparation, though no people are clearly shown.2006-12-28December 21 20092009-12-21A close view of several brass kalasha pots arranged in rows, each topped with a coconut wrapped in fibre, crowned with green mango leaves, and tied with saffron-orange cloth and a wire mesh net. The pots sit on a wooden surface with a white cloth beneath. No people are visible.2009-12-21December 21 20092009-12-21Dense rows of brass kalasha pots wrapped in white netting cover a white cloth. Each pot has a brass rim and a coconut with a reddish-pink husk topped with green mango leaves, and the netting is dotted with red kumkum marks. The arrangement looks like ritual preparation for a homa or yagna, with the pots set out in rows across the foreground. No people are visible in the frame, though a partial figure in white clothing appears at the top edge.2006-07-16January 12 20072007-01-12May 10 20172017-05-10Close-up photograph of several brass kalasha pots arranged on a green banana leaf. Each pot is wrapped in white thread netting, topped with a cluster of mango leaves and a brown coconut, and marked with red kumkum dots. White rice sits in plates beneath the pots. Behind them are a white-and-red painted step with kolam patterns, a pink object at right, and a small electronic device at left.2009-09-25 +2 copiesNovember 24 20202020-11-24
