December 20 20102010-12-20November 08 20132013-11-08A photograph of a devotee's hand resting on a white-wrapped bundle placed on a brass tray decorated with marigold and flower petals, in front of a seated figure wrapped in orange cloth with gold border. A man in white dhoti with orange-gold border and a rudraksha mala stands with palms joined beside a red-cushioned gold throne. The bundle is part of a set of white coconut bundles on the floor, consistent with a padapuja offering of coconuts at the feet of a seated guru on a throne. The seated figure's face is not visible in the frame.2016-01-02Close photograph of an offering arranged on a red-orange stone ledge beside an ornately carved stone pillar. A folded red-orange cloth with orange twisted cord handles and a white cloth edge sits on a gold-bordered red and maroon silk textile with woven golden motifs and gold fringe. Yellow marigold-type flowers and a single magenta flower lie at the left. In the blurred background a person in white clothing walks past, and a small figure of a deity murti appears near the top left.2010-11-06November 11 20172017-11-11Close-up of a pair of bare feet resting on a gold-patterned silk cushion placed on a brass plate, decorated with yellow marigold garlands and white flowers. The feet belong to a person wearing a saffron-orange robe that drapes over the right side of the frame. Two small gold kalasha-style vessels with red flower accents sit between the toes and the cushion, and red tasselled fabric hangs around the edges. The orange cloth beneath the scene suggests an outdoor ritual setting. This appears to be a padapuja, the ritual washing or worship of feet, with the person receiving the offering. Only the feet and robe are visible, so the person's face is not shown.2010-07-24Close-up photograph of a pair of bare feet resting on a gold-bordered maroon and gold brocade cloth set on a silver tray. Yellow marigold garlands and white flowers surround the feet, with two small gold kalasha-style vessels near the toes. The person's orange saffron robe drapes across the right side of the frame, and the orange cloth beneath gives a warm background. This appears to be a padapuja, a ritual washing and worship of the feet.2010-07-24July 19 20162016-07-19Close-up photograph of a folded orange-red silk cloth with white edging and maroon trim, tied with a twisted orange cord, resting on a red and gold patterned fabric. Yellow chrysanthemums and a magenta flower sit at the left edge. Behind it, an ornate carved bronze or brass base with spiral scrollwork is visible. No people are present.2010-11-06November 08 20132013-11-08Close-up photograph of a round wooden tray or plate draped with a red silk cloth bordered in gold zari, holding folded white cloth and a small pile of red-orange fabric or cloth, resting on a terracotta-coloured ledge or pillar. A thin orange-yellow cord hangs from the tray's edge. A blurred background of orange and red tones suggests an outdoor ritual setting. Lower right of the frame shows the edge of a figure in dark clothing with red tassels, partly cut off. No faces are visible.2011-12-10December 22 20112011-12-22
