July 10 20092009-07-10A photograph of a small room with pale green walls and a tiled floor. A man in an orange-saffron robe with a white and red flower garland stands near the centre, facing left toward a framed portrait draped with marigold garlands, set on a white-covered table with brass lamps. A second man in white dhoti and shirt stands in the doorway. Along the wall hang printed posters, including one showing a seated figure in orange robes with a rudraksha mala, and a brass puja tray with bells and vessels lies on a striped mat on the right. Two physical people are visible; the figures in the portrait and posters are depictions.2010-02-15January 23 20102010-01-23Two sannyasis in saffron-orange robes stand in a pink-walled room inside a home, with a floral torana of white, yellow and red blooms over the doorway. The figure at right, with long dark hair, holds a small silver tray or box. The figure at left, also with long hair, stands barefoot and smiles. On the right, a low white-draped table holds a framed photograph of a woman in an orange sari with garlands, flanked by brass lamps, a silver plate and offerings. A floor rangoli of petals and leaves lies in front of the table, and a small framed portrait sits on the floor. A flat-screen TV is mounted on the right wall.2010-01-10June 09 20092009-06-09A photograph in a bare hall with white block walls and a light wooden floor. In the centre a person in a sleeveless orange robe stands barefoot with palms pressed together in anjali, head bowed. Behind, at an open orange door, a man in white clothes and a man in orange robes stand near the entrance. To the right is a white projection screen on a metal stand and a wooden cabinet. Two physical people are visible in the hall, and a third in the doorway. The distinctive long-haired orange-robed cues for a person candidate are not clearly established here, so identity is uncertain.2010-08-08A photograph of a home room with cream walls, a ceiling fan, green curtains and an orange armchair. On the left, a framed portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" is garlanded with yellow and white flowers and set on an orange cloth with a small puja arrangement of flowers, a kalasha-like brass vessel, a bell and a lamp. Two men in saffron-orange robes stand at centre: the one on the left, with long swept-back hair and a white and red flower garland, holds a small orange card; the one on the right, with long hair and a rust-trimmed orange robe, holds a blue book. A woman in white stands behind them and an older man in a white shirt with glasses stands at the right edge. A video camera is at the left edge.2010-01-10A photograph of a bare-walled white room in a house. A barefoot person in a saffron-orange robe, with long dark hair swept back, a red bindi and a red-and-yellow flower garland, walks across a striped green-and-red mat toward a framed portrait decorated with a garland. Beside the portrait are a small table with a white cloth, a brass plate with offerings and a lamp. Three women in white saris with embroidered borders stand at left with palms pressed together in greeting. A white-covered sofa sits at right beneath a brown ceiling fan. A portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" is not visible; the framed picture shows a person in saffron garb with a garland. The orange-robed figure with long swept-back hair and garland matches the page's a person candidate, so this is a person in person as the appearance-based label.2010-02-17A photograph inside a thatched-roof hall with red drapes and white walls. A woman in an orange sari with a yellow flower garland walks barefoot toward a raised shrine. A man in an orange garment stands at the shrine and a man in white clothes stands at left. The shrine has red drapes, a marigold garland framing a framed portrait, a central figure in orange robes seated on a cushion, brass oil lamps, a small brass vessel and offering plates on a low platform. A small television sits on a stand at left.2009-01-25February 04 20092009-02-04A photograph of a shaved-headed man in an orange saffron robe and a long white-and-red flower garland kneels before a framed portrait garlanded with marigold-and-white flowers, gesturing toward it with one hand while a brass oil lamp and a brass plate with offerings sit on a white-draped table to the left. Behind him a group of men and boys in white shirts, white dhotis and a red shawl stand watching, one boy holding a red-and-white item, and a man in white holds a small brass bowl. Wall posters of robed sadhus hang on the cream walls, a cameraman in white films at the right, and a striped runner rug covers the floor.
