Indoor photo in a white-walled room with a white tiled floor. A woman in a red-orange sari with a multicoloured flower garland stands centre-left, barefoot, facing the group. Two men in orange and saffron garments stand at far left. A shrine on the left wall holds a framed devotional image of a seated figure in red and white beneath a framed painting of a deity, with a small oil lamp and brass lamps on a white-draped table. Devotees in white dhotis and cream and white saris stand at right, hands joined in prayer or bending forward, while others kneel at the centre, one man in a white shirt and dhoti bending low. A standing man in white at right looks on. The scene reads as a devotional gathering with greeting and prayer.2009-02-04August 16 20092009-08-16A photograph inside a plain white-walled hall with a red-painted floor and green-framed windows. A man in an orange and red robe holds a lit flame toward a framed deity image garlanded with white and yellow flowers on the right. A woman in an orange sari and red blouse holds a tray of red offerings. Two men in white dhotis, one wearing a yellow shawl, and a man in white with a red shawl stand watching. A small wooden table holds fruit, a kalasha-like vessel, and offering plates. The scene resembles a puja with aarti, though the man with the flame is not clearly identified.2009-07-27Indoor photo of a devotional gathering in a plain white-walled room with tiled floor. A framed portrait hangs on the wall above; it shows a smiling man in a white turban and white garment, shown as a printed picture, not a physical person. On the right, a woman in an orange sari stands at a small table draped in white cloth, holding a lit oil lamp beside a small framed image and a stand. Several people stand with palms pressed together in namaste, including men in white kurtas and dhotis, a woman in a blue-bordered white sari, and a man in light blue shirt and white dhoti. A green curtain hangs behind the table.2009-01-10August 02 20082008-08-02July 28 20082008-07-28August 16 20092009-08-16A photograph inside a bare white-walled room during a home puja. A man in an orange robe with a red-and-white flower garland holds a lit oil lamp (aarti) toward a low wooden altar decorated with marigold garlands, brass lamps, a kalasha-style vessel, small figurines, a bowl of pink flowers and bananas. Beside him a younger man in an orange robe with a red garland and a man in white dhoti and shirt stand with palms joined, while a woman in a pink-and-maroon salwar holds a small child. A man in white with a red shawl and another in orange with hands folded also stand near a camera operator at left. The scene shows a padha puja at a house visit.2010-02-18A photograph inside a plain room with a corrugated and thatched roof and whitewashed walls, with a dark red carpet on the floor. At the centre, a framed portrait garlanded with yellow and orange flowers sits on a purple-draped platform beside two brass oil lamps. Around it, devotees stand with palms pressed together in namaskar, men in white dhotis and shirts and women in white saris with orange borders. In the lower right foreground, a figure in an orange robe and orange turban sits holding a silver tray of flowers and offerings, appearing to perform a puja. The scene suggests a devotional darshan or puja before the framed portrait.2007-01-12A photograph of a whitewashed room with a red-painted floor and green-framed windows. A man in a saffron-orange sleeveless top and orange dhoti holds a lit lamp toward a framed portrait on the wall, decorated with white and yellow flower garlands.
