A photograph taken from a boat on a river, with white bamboo or pipe framing overhead. In the foreground a person in a bright orange hooded jacket, orange gloves and a red face covering raises one arm and points upward while holding a rod, seated beside a man in a dark red jacket with glasses. Behind them a boatman in a blue jacket steers with a long pole. The shore shows crowds, small boats, a seagull in flight, and a large concrete embankment with a yellow painted sign reading in part painting. The scene suggests the Triveni Sangam ferry ride at Allahabad.

In the foreground a person in a bright orange hooded top and orange gloves grips a pole, and another person in a maroon-red garment sits at the left edge. Several white seagulls fly and float on the blue-grey water. On the far shore stands an old stone embankment with trees above, a yellow hoarding reading KIOSKS BANNERS HOARDIN WALL PAINTING VINYL GLOSSIGN NEWS PAPER, and small wooden boats moored along the bank with a few people gathered there under a clear pale sky.2006-01-08A photograph taken from a wooden boat on a river, with a white-railed canopy overhead and a sandy riverbank with moored boats in the background. Three people sit under the canopy: a man in a red sweater with glasses on the left, a figure in a bright orange hooded sweatshirt with a red face covering and orange gloves holding the canopy rail in the centre, and a person in a light grey shawl on the right, with a child partly visible at the far right. The figure in orange wears a face covering and no visible turban, crown or rudraksha malas, so the appearance cues are insufficient and the identity is uncertain. Birds fly above the boat under a clear blue sky.January 08 20062006-01-08Outdoor photo on a riverbank with moored wooden boats and tall bamboo poles, a sandy shore, and a sandstone bluff with trees behind. A crowd of devotees and locals stands at the water's edge. A woman in a navy coat and an elderly white-haired man in a yellow-trimmed garment also stand nearby. Hazy winter light and a yellow hoarding with blue and red painted lettering appear in the background.2006-01-08A photograph taken from a wooden boat on a river, with a bamboo canopy frame overhead. A smiling person in an orange hooded jacket and a maroon head wrap sits in the centre, wearing a saffron-orange garment; a man in a red jacket sits at the left edge holding an oar, and women in white shawls with embroidered borders and a person in a blue knit cap sit to the right. Beyond the boat, a riverbank with boats, people and dusty sand is visible under a clear sky. The swami appearance cues are not distinctive enough to assert a candidate, so the central figure is described by role only as a passenger.2006 - Glimpses From Varanasi YatraA photograph taken from a boat on a wide river under a pale blue sky.
