Outdoor photo on a riverbank with moored wooden boats and tall bamboo poles, a sandy shore, and a sandstone bluff with trees behind. A crowd of devotees and locals stands at the water's edge. In the centre, a figure in an orange-saffron hooded robe with long dark hair and an orange shawl stands near a man in a maroon knit cap and pink-red shawl holding a printed sheet. A woman in a navy coat and an elderly white-haired man in a yellow-trimmed garment also stand nearby. Hazy winter light and a yellow hoarding with blue and red painted lettering appear in the background.

A photograph of a riverside ghat at Triveni Sangam, Allahabad, with a line of wooden ferry boats moored along the water under a hazy winter sky. Bamboo poles stand upright along the bank. In the foreground an overturned, weathered boat hull with partly faded painted lettering dominates the lower frame. Several people crowd the shore: a figure in an orange-saffron top and dhoti-style wrap stands at left, a man in white kurta and dhoti is at left edge, and a man in a grey hooded jacket and white head cloth carries a pink bag at centre-right. Others in woollen sweaters and caps stand near the boats. A man in a dark jacket holds up a large printed portrait on a pole, showing a figure in ornate clothing, though its details are not clearly legible.2006-01-08January 08 20062006-01-08January 08 20062006-01-08January 09 20062006-01-09January 08 20062006-01-08A photograph taken from a boat on a river, with white bamboo or pipe framing overhead. In the foreground a person in a bright orange hooded jacket, orange gloves and a red face covering raises one arm and points upward while holding a rod, seated beside a man in a dark red jacket with glasses. Behind them a boatman in a blue jacket steers with a long pole. The shore shows crowds, small boats, a seagull in flight, and a large concrete embankment with a yellow painted sign reading in part painting. The scene suggests the Triveni Sangam ferry ride at Allahabad.2006-01-08January 08 20062006-01-08A photograph taken from a boat on a river, looking through a frame of white metal poles. Several white seagulls fly and float on the blue-grey water. In the left foreground a long-haired man in orange robes sits cross-legged behind a low blue-covered table holding brass and silver ritual vessels, a brass pot and small cups, while a bearded man in white and a smoking incense or lamp item sit nearby. A seated crowd of devotees surrounds them, many in shawls and headscarves, some in white or orange. Two men in saffron and orange stoles, one holding a camera, watch at right. Hazy morning light and a temple tower appear behind. The seated long-haired man in orange is a person candidate with long swept hair and saffron robes, though the appearance is only partly clear.2006-01-06January 09 20062006-01-09
