Photo 8278769ADIKAILASA on 1/1/20022002-01-01 +1 copiesA photograph of a communal meal in a plain whitewashed hall with tiled floor. A standing figure in saffron-orange robes and a matching orange head wrap leans over a long table, serving food onto banana leaves for seated diners. Several seated men wear white dhotis and shirts, while others wear red and orange clothing. Plates, steel tumblers and a brass pot sit on the table and a side ledge. Wooden cupboard doors line the right wall. Several people in white clothes with orange shawls sit on mats and banana leaves, while a woman in white is bending forward to serve food to a seated girl. Another woman in white stands nearby, and a large metal pot and a brass vessel sit at the left. A portrait of a bearded man in white and orange is visible at the upper right edge, but no one is clearly identifiable as a person in the visible scene. The setting suggests a communal offering or annadan style meal.2006-10-12March 04 20202020-03-04October 02 20082008-10-02March 22 20082008-03-22A photograph of an outdoor community kitchen scene. Nearby, a shaved-headed devotee in orange robes sits with palms pressed together, and another seated volunteer in a white hairnet and orange clothing watches. Beside the tray are green beans, small red onions and a green gourd. An elderly woman in a pink floral sari sits in a wheelchair while a seated figure in saffron robes touches her forehead and holds a small object near her hand. A bald man in saffron and another man in saffron stand nearby, and a woman in a green-yellow embroidered salwar kameez and several men in shirts stand in a line of devotees. A woman in white and orange kneels in the lower right, and a flower-decorated white cloth and offering tray sit at the right edge. A saffron-robed figure in the upper right stands near a flower vase. The seated central figure in saffron may be a person, but appearance cues are not distinctive enough to confirm, so this is marked unsure.2008-03-01
