Photo 8278475A photograph of an outdoor community kitchen scene. A person in a reddish-brown wrap is seated barefoot on a round stone platform, cutting green beans on a steel tray covered with a pink floral cloth. Nearby, a shaved-headed devotee in orange robes sits with palms pressed together, and another seated volunteer in a white hairnet and orange clothing watches. Beside the tray are green beans, small red onions and a green gourd. Behind them, a row of children and young people in orange robes and rudraksha malas stands watching, with bushes and a white pole in the background.2013-11-15A photograph of a communal meal in a plain whitewashed hall with tiled floor. A standing figure in saffron-orange robes and a matching orange head wrap leans over a long table, serving food onto banana leaves for seated diners. Several seated men wear white dhotis and shirts, while others wear red and orange clothing. Plates, steel tumblers and a brass pot sit on the table and a side ledge. Wooden cupboard doors line the right wall. A person in saffron with a visible wrap and distinctive long hair matches the a person appearance cues, but the evidence is uncertain.2006-09-23Indoor food service scene in a hall with a red-brown pillar and a dark shuttered window. In the foreground, a man with long dark hair and a beard wears an orange saffron shawl over an orange garment and wraps his hand in clear plastic gloves while serving from a steel pot onto a plate. Beside him, men in white dhotis and shirts, some wearing rudraksha-style neck cords, serve food from steel vessels, and a bald man in a teal shirt stands among them. Steel plates of cooked grain are laid out on the counter. Serving for a communal meal, annadan style. A woven basket sits in the lower left.2006-12-15November 22 20102010-11-22Photo of a ritual meal inside a bamboo-screened open hall at Aadi Kailaasa. Several people in white clothes with orange shawls sit on mats and banana leaves, while a woman in white is bending forward to serve food to a seated girl. Another woman in white stands nearby, and a large metal pot and a brass vessel sit at the left. A portrait of a bearded man in white and orange is visible at the upper right edge, but no one is clearly identifiable as a person in the visible scene. The setting suggests a communal offering or annadan style meal.2006-10-12September 26 20092009-09-26March 24 20082008-03-24March 22 20082008-03-22October 02 20082008-10-02November 15 20132013-11-15November 17 20092009-11-17 +1 copies
