A long hall where many men sit cross-legged in rows on the floor, eating from green banana-leaf plates set out along the floor. Most wear white dhotis and white shirts, and a few wear orange or saffron shawls. Some have shaved heads and others grey hair. Several plates hold rice, sweets and yellow garnish. Steel vessels and a pot stand at the left, and attendants in orange and red saris move along the back of the hall beside pink curtains and a projection screen. The scene looks like a communal meal served to devotees.2013-06-19Men sit cross-legged in long rows on a tiled hall floor, eating from green banana leaves set before them. A woman in a white sari with gold border walks between the rows carrying a large steel vessel. Plates hold rice, sweets and cut fruit, and small paper cups stand beside the leaves. In the background a stage has red curtains and an ornate deity backdrop. Rows of people sit cross-legged or kneeling before green banana leaves holding rice, yellow dal, fried vadas, pickles and sliced vegetables, with white paper cups set beside them. Many men wear white kurtas with saffron-orange shawls, and several wear orange-trimmed white garments; a man in the foreground has a saffron shawl over white clothes and wears glasses. Children in casual shirts sit at the far right, and additional seated devotees fill the background rows, all eating with their right hands. The mood is an orderly annadan-style feeding line.2012-04-26Annadhan in 20122012-01-01 +1 copiesJanuary 24 20152015-01-24 +1 copiesJanuary 24 20152015-01-24 +1 copiesPhoto 11712545Annadhan in 20102010-01-01 +1 copiesSeptember 21 20162016-09-21Photo 11734163 +3 copies
