Seven or eight seated people sit at the table: several men wear white and red-turbaned headwear, and three central figures wear saffron/orange robes, one with a microphone in front of him. A tall brass lamp stands at the right edge. Behind them a large banner shows a row of framed portrait photos and the printed Kannada text 'Anandotsava 2008' with '30 November' and 'a person Dhyanapeetha' lettering; a large painted deity image appears at the right. A printed portrait at the left edge shows a woman in green. The central saffron-robed figure, seated at the microphone, has a shaved head and a rudraksha mala; appearance is insufficient for a confident identification, so presence is marked unsure.2008-12-30December 30 20082008-12-30A stage dais at a Hindu event with a large banner behind it. Seven people sit in gilded, red-cushioned thrones and chairs along a draped white and orange table. Others wear white kurtas or white dhoti-style clothes, and one wears a brown jacket. Each seat has a microphone and water bottle. A tall brass lamp stands at the right of the dais and marigold and mango-leaf garlands drape the front. A brass elephant sits at the far right corner. Several seated figures sit on ornate gold and red thrones behind a long table draped in white cloth and decorated with orange, yellow and purple flower garlands. Two men in saffron/orange robes with rudraksha malas sit at the centre; one wears a long beard and the other has a shaved head, and their appearance is not sufficient to confirm any identity, so they are described by role only as seated saffron-robed religious figures. Flanking them are men in white shirts and a man in a dark vest. A tall brass oil lamp with yellow flower garlands stands centre stage. Behind the dais, a banner shows a large portrait of a woman on the left, a row of small portrait photos, and the printed Kannada text. On the right, a painted panel shows deities. The stage has a red carpet and a brass vessel in the foreground.2008-12-30December 30 20082008-12-30A photograph of a stage at an outdoor event under a white tent, with a banner behind reading 'ಆನಂದೋತ್ಸವ 2008' and '30 ನೇ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್'.
