A photograph of a temple abhishekam at an outdoor shrine with a stone shivalinga on a pedestal being bathed by water. A figure in an orange-saffron robe with long dark swept-back hair and a red bindi stands beside the lingam, with an apparent rudraksha-style wrap; this appearance is consistent with a person. To his left, a kneeling man in white dhoti and white shirt with a shaved head and tilak holds his palms together in namaskar. Behind them, a white-clad priest holds a brass pot pouring water, and another man in orange cloth stands nearby. A brass kalasha and small brass vessels sit on the floor, and a tall grey water tank and red cloth draping appear in the background.2007-02-23A row of men seated on the floor in a temple hall performs a puja with ringing handbells and incense sticks. Front centre, a man in orange saffron robes and rudraksha beads holds a bell in one hand and an incense stick in the other. Beside him, another man in orange robes with glasses and beads holds a bell. Behind them, men in white dhotis and white shirts with white tilaka markings on their foreheads and arms hold bells and incense. Brass plates with offerings, small oil lamps, flowers and fruit are set on the floor in front of them. A golden ornate throne or peetha stands at the right edge, and a curtain hangs behind.2011-08-04August 24 20142014-08-24August 09 20072007-08-09August 22 20062006-08-22February 23 20072007-02-23February 25 20132013-02-25September 22 20132013-09-22August 22 20062006-08-22A ritual scene in a stone-walled hall with a grey concrete floor. A man in orange robes with a red-bordered cloth sits cross-legged at a low wooden platform with brass and steel vessels, a plate of white offerings and burning incense. Around him, several people in orange robes stand or kneel, one shaved-headed man in orange holds a small brass pot, and a woman with long dark hair in orange sits near the platform. Ornate brass lamps and a brass kalasha stand on the right beside a yellow-and-gold metal shrine, with orange ceremonial strips hanging from bamboo poles above. The page identifies this as an initiation into poornabhisheka vratha, but the robed man at the platform is not confidently identifiable from appearance, so the role is described only as a presiding priest.2007-02-23December 18 20102010-12-18A seated man in an orange silk garment, bare-shouldered with a gold-toned sacred thread and a bracelet on his wrist, pours a white liquid from a shell-like vessel over a Sri Meru yantra made of pale tiers on a brass tray. The yantra sits on a peetha-like base amid marigold and jasmine garlands and pink petals, with a smoking fire pit and brass vessels beside it. Behind, a shrine holds a deity murti in red and white adornments flanked by brass lamps and flowers. A person's hand holding a brass vessel is partly visible at lower left, and a tiger-striped seat cover sits at the left edge. The description of this photo's appearance-based label: the man's shaved head, orange garment, sacred thread and bracelet are consistent with a person performing the abhishekam, with an unsure identity tag.
