A large group of young male devotees seated on the floor in a hall, many bare-chested, wearing saffron-orange dhoti-style wraps and rudraksha malas, with white and orange tilak markings on their foreheads and bodies. Some hold their hands in prayer or mudra, and before them lie brass plates, small oil lamps, bowls of offerings and flower petals. Behind them more seated and standing participants fill the room, with pillars and a cushioned seat visible at the edges. Many wear white dhotis as well as saffron cloth, and necklaces and beaded malas are common.
