A crowded outdoor gathering under a red and gold draped canopy. Rows of women in teal, blue and purple saris and boys in light blue school uniforms sit on a striped mat and red plastic chairs, watching forward. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands at right near the seated crowd. A young woman in a pale pink-beige outfit sits centrally in the front, and a small child in white stands at right. The scene appears to be a children's day celebration with a community audience.

Most women wear saris in teal, turquoise, green, yellow, pink and orange, while several men wear white shirts and light trousers. Children sit in front, including a small boy in a red shirt held by an adult man and a child in a white shirt and tie. A tall wooden pole with rope stands at the left edge, and a mud-brick building with a doorway forms the backdrop. A yellow auto-rickshaw is visible at the upper right. A man in a white shirt holds a small hand drum, and a cameraman in a white shirt films from the right. A tabla-style drum lies in the foreground.
