A devotee in white clothing with a red sash raises a brass aarti lamp before a shrine of deity murti. The central gold-framed arch holds a figure with a crown and red garland, beside a female deity in red and purple with a decorated headdress. Two standing figures flank the shrine, one in a red turban with garlands, the other in an ochre dhoti and rudraksha-style necklaces. Marigold garlands hang on a black shivalinga with a bright pink drape behind. A tall brass oil lamp stands at the right, and small silver offerings sit at the base. This is a puja at a temple shrine.

Behind them stand large painted statues of deities in red and gold garments, one with a crown and a long garland of yellow and red flowers draped across the central figure. The central murti is adorned with a rudraksha-style necklace and a garland, and sits before a decorative silver-and-gold throne with a green and pink cloth. Two smaller painted figures stand at either side, one wearing a red turban and a bead necklace, the other wearing a black cap. Brass bells and a brass plate lie on the floor. Nothing in the image shows a person figure.2014-07-11A photograph inside a shrine of an ornate gold-framed niche with a red curtain behind two deity murtis seated on a golden throne. The figures wear jeweled crowns, pearl and bead necklaces and bright garlands of yellow and red flowers. In the centre stands a golden kalasha with a green and red garland, and a small orange-clad figure with flower garlands sits in front. A seated man in a white dhoti and yellow shawl sits at left, performing puja with a lamp and offerings. Brass oil lamps and bronze lamp stands line both sides, with a smaller garlanded deity murti at right. The scene reflects temple puja and aarti.2010-07-13April 23 20132013-04-23 +2 copies
