Behind him, golden statues of deities sit under a gilded arch with yellow drapery: a central figure in a red and gold turban and bejewelled necklaces, a female figure in magenta with black hair and a flower, and a figure with a white turban at left. A statue at right wears a tiger-striped garment with folded hands. Garlands of orange and white flowers adorn the figures. The scene appears to be a temple abhishekam, and no living person other than the young man is visible.2015-08-28A photograph inside a temple sanctum showing a priest in a white dhoti with a gold border, bent forward and pouring or touching a dark shivalinga on a black circular yoni pedestal. He wears a rudraksha-style mala and has long dark hair. Behind the lingam, a deity murti in blue and pink draped in a garland is seated on a gilded throne, flanked by standing gold-decorated figures in red and tiger-patterned garments, each wearing marigold garlands. Small brass and gold figurines, a brass kalasha and a yellow fruit sit on the platform. This is a lingam abhishekam being performed by one priest.2015-08-28A figure in orange saffron robes with bare upper body and dark curly hair stands with back to the camera, performing abhishekam at a black stone shivalinga set on a dark lotus-shaped peetha. Behind them is a shrine with a seated deity murti in red and gold garments, flanked by standing devotee statues draped in white and pink flower garlands and gold ornaments. A brass oil lamp stands at right, and flower petals are scattered on the floor.2017-09-05 +1 copiesNovember 21 20142014-11-21September 05 20172017-09-05A temple shrine scene: a priest in white dhoti with gold border and rudraksha mala pours a flame or offering over a black Shiva linga on a dark stone yoni base. A second priest in white with a rudraksha mala stands at left, and a small kalasha and brass lamps sit on a side table. Two standing statues in orange and saffron dhotis with bead garlands stand on either side, and a Shivalinga-like object decorated with yellow and orange marigold garlands sits at the base, with a kalasha-style arrangement above it. A white-clad devotee with a shaved head stands in the foreground before the offerings, with brass oil lamps and small offering dishes around them. The walls are carved grey stone.2014-07-15
