A photograph of a large open-air pavilion gathering under a tiled roof hung with yellow and gold fringed tassels and green foliage. Many devotees fill the space, most women in orange and red saris and salwar, some in yellow, pink and green, many seated on the floor and others standing close together. A man in a bright yellow kurta and white dhoti stands with arms crossed near the centre, a bearded man in white stands nearby, and a bald man in white clothing stands at the right edge.

In the foreground a young woman in orange with a bindi and braided hair holds a drumstick near a metal drum, and a girl beside her plays a small percussion instrument. Several rows of yellow-painted poles mark the floor, and a shaved-headed older man wears orange-trimmed clothing. A sanctuary with a sign board is visible at the top of the hall. No individual is identified as a person in this view.
