A woman in a cream and yellow sari with green border kneels at lower left setting lamps, while two women in white garments bend over the steps further up. Strings of coloured fairy lights run along the top edge beside a metal railing. No deity or a person figure is visible; the lamps are oil lamps, and the scene shows people lighting lamps on temple steps.
