A photograph inside a small temple hall with a bamboo-latticed wall and a mint-green curtain. A priest in saffron-orange robes and a matching orange turban stands at left, bare-shouldered, raising his right arm and holding a bell-like ritual object. Two men in white clothes stand beside him, and another man in white kneels on the floor near a lit oil lamp. Along the right, a brass standing lamp and a platter of flowers and offerings sit on a long white and red altar with yellow cushions. Behind the altar, a deity murti of Nataraja-style dancing Shiva stands within a ringed arch of flower garlands, with a saffron-clad figure shown in front of the arch.

Indoor temple ritual photograph. A figure in an orange-saffron robe and matching head wrap stands at left, holding a small brass vessel and a lit oil lamp or fire, while a man in white dhoti and shirt with a purple cord stands beside them and a person in white sits near a fire at the lower left. The altar in front is a white and red-trimmed platform with yellow cloth cushions, flower offerings, a brass kalasha-style lamp and a brass oil lamp stand. Behind it is a large deity murti of Nataraja, shown dancing within a flame arch, draped in orange cloth and garlanded with marigolds, with a rudraksha mala. Smoke rises from the altar and a burning fire sits on the floor. A lattice window is behind the people.

A photograph of a temple ritual at an outdoor shrine decorated with marigold and mixed flower garlands on a red curtain backdrop. A bare-chested priest in an orange-yellow dhoti and matching orange cloth wrapped on his head holds up a brass vessel, pouring or offering water over a deity murti at the right. Beside him, a second priest in yellow robes and a yellow head cloth stands with hands raised. A tall brass oil lamp with a flame burns at the right, and fruit and coconuts sit on a tray at the lower edge. Around them, men in white shirts, a man in a cream jacket with glasses, and a man in a light blue shirt observe closely, with an orange-robed figure at the lower left.

A homa fire ritual in a decorated temple-like hall. A shirtless man in a yellow dhoti with a green border and a red rudraksha-style bead necklace pours liquid from a large brass pot onto a blazing fire pit of wood. Behind him, another man in a white dhoti stands near a golden throne-style seat with a green backdrop. Golden umbrellas, gold standards and a colourful floral arrangement frame the scene, with brass lamps on a side table. A seated man in white and a few others sit in the background. The fire pit holds a decorated clay figure and marigold-red flowers.

A homa fire burns in a metal fire pit on the floor of an indoor hall as a standing man in orange robes and red-bordered dhoti stands with palms joined. A shaved-headed priest in orange kneels at left beside brass vessels, fruit offerings and kalasha-like pots with white flowers. Behind the fire, about a dozen seated devotees in orange shawls and white clothes sit with hands folded. A gilded throne with a tiger-patterned cushion stands at left, and a camera tripod is visible. Smoke rises through a beam of light from a high window.

A homa is being performed in an open-sided orange-walled hall with a corrugated roof. A fire burns in a square pit built from stacked yellow-ochre bricks, with metal bowls of rice, sweets and offerings set around it on the floor. A young man in white dhoti and shawl feeds offerings into the fire. Seated on orange cloth are a woman in a maroon sari with a white flower garland, a man in grey kurta and pants, a woman in a green sari with red border, and a bald man in white with a garland. A woman in a yellow sari with garland stands by a gold-framed throne, and a standing man in orange robe and gold necklace holds a tray. Behind them, audience members in white sit in rows, and a banner with photos hangs on the wall.

A standing man in an orange saffron dhoti and shawl, with a white and multicoloured flower garland and a red-and-white bracelet, holds a small silver lamp toward a gilded deity murti decorated with flower garlands. A large fire pit blazes in the foreground, ringed with white flowers, with a brass lamp stand behind. Another person's hands, wearing a bracelet, hold a silver dish near the fire. The setting is a tiled indoor room with a rug and striped mat. Appearance suggests this could be a person, a sannyasi in saffron clothing with a long swept-back hairstyle and a garland, performing an aarti or homa offering at the murti, though his identity is uncertain from appearance alone.

A homa fire burns in a brick-lined pit on a tiled floor in a hall with a tall brass oil-lamp stand on the left. A priest in a rust-orange dhoti and orange turban leans forward to tend the fire, while a second priest in a red-orange dhoti and turban holds a ceremonial implement toward the flames. Behind them, a seated figure in orange robes and a red turban with a rudraksha mala stands before a golden throne decorated with flower garlands and a canopy. Devotees in white and orange clothing stand with hands folded, and ceremonial staffs and gold-topped poles line the room. Dakshinamoorthy homa ritual scene.
