Outdoor mallakhamba performance under a heavy grey sky. A shirtless young man in dark swim shorts balances on one foot atop a tall wooden pole, arms extended wide for Shivasthamba yoga. Below, two shirtless men steady the pole with their hands while a dense crowd of spectators raises hands and watches. Behind the pole stands an ornate gold-painted structure with lattice panels, and to the left a large gold filigree arch frames a framed portrait of a bearded man in a saffron-and-white turban, identifiable only as a portrait.
