Outdoor photograph of a shirtless male performer balancing on one leg atop a tall vertical wooden pole during a Shivasthamba (mallakhamba) pole yoga demonstration, arms outstretched, wearing dark shorts with a colourful print. Two shirtless assistants steady the pole from below, and a crowd of spectators fills the lower foreground. Behind them stands an ornate gold throne-like structure with carved lattice panels and gold scrollwork, next to a large gold framework against a cloudy sky. In the lower left, a painted figure with an orange turban and white beard is shown on a gold decorative panel. A figure in a golden-trimmed setting beside the pole appears, but no one on the throne is clearly visible.
