A photograph of a mallakhamba (pole yoga) demonstration at an outdoor event. A young man in striped swim shorts is airborne in a horizontal pose, balancing on a tall wooden pole with his hands gripping it. Two shirtless men below steady the pole, one at left with arms extended, the other at right gripping it. Behind them stands an ornate gold-painted golden structure with floral scrollwork and a framed portrait of a turbaned, bearded figure in a red and gold robe, labelled by the caption as a portrait. A dense crowd of spectators in orange and white clothing watches in the foreground under a cloudy sky, with a gold framework at upper left and right.
