The man on the left, in a white shirt and white dhoti with glasses and a tilak on his forehead, leans forward over the mix. The man in the center wears a white shirt and a green-and-yellow checked lungi and uses a flat metal trowel to scoop grey concrete from a metal tray. The man on the right wears a striped white shirt, a white dhoti and a pink-and-white checked head cloth, and stands bent over the mixture. Sand heaps, scattered bricks and a wooden frame sit around them, and other workers and a woman in an orange sari are visible in the background.2006-12-09November 05 20142014-11-05Outdoor construction scene at a building site under a clear blue sky, with palm trees and tall wooden poles in the background. In the centre, a man in a white shirt bends forward and applies mortar or plaster with a trowel, a bowl of grey mixture nearby. At right, a man in a light pink shirt faces the stonework. A plastic water bottle and a green container sit on the stones, and loose stone pieces lie on the ground at left.2006-12-19Three young men work outdoors on bare red earth beside a pile of rough grey granite blocks. The man on the left, in a white short-sleeved shirt and light grey trousers, crouches barefoot while pressing wet grey material. The man on the right, in a striped shirt and checked lungi-style cloth, shapes a curved wet clay form on a concrete base. A third man in a white shirt crouches behind them. A yellow bucket sits on the ground, with broken red bricks and scattered stones around. A man in a white shirt, grey trousers and a green head cloth pours cement from a blue woven sack onto a heap of reddish sand. Beside him a worker in a purple checked top, green lungi and white head wrap bends over the pile with gloved hands. On the right an older man in a cream shirt and blue-striped dhoti stands watching, and another person in an orange shirt stands further back. A black hose runs across the ground, and white buildings, trees and a red metal railing sit in the background. Stacked concrete blocks lean against a wooden frame at right.Outdoor photograph of two men working at a small clay forge beside a bamboo lattice fence on bare dirt ground. The man on the left, wearing a white shirt and a cloth wrap, crouches and holds a metal rod with tongs over a flat stone. The man on the right, in a checked shirt, strikes a metal bar with a hammer while seated. Glowing coals sit in the forge opening, and short iron rods lie scattered on the ground. A bucket of charcoal sits at the left edge. The scene shows metalworking in progress.2006-12-19
