Night-time photograph of a seated figure with long dark hair in a maroon robe, shown from behind, receiving a large garland of green leaves, yellow and red flowers draped over the shoulders. Beside them a bald older man in a white shirt and white dhoti ties or adjusts the garland. In the foreground a man with grey hair and glasses in a white shirt bends forward with palms pressed together in namaste, and a woman with dark hair bows at the lower right. A seated woman in an orange sari with a white forehead marking and a rudraksha-style necklace is at the left edge, and a cameraman with a camera stands at the upper right. Several people are visible, roughly four to six.2013-04-03A photograph of a seated figure with long dark hair, bare-chested and wearing a red-brown wrap, receiving a large garland of red, yellow and green flowers and leaves around the neck. A white-clad older man with a shaved head and white dhoti with gold border bows deeply with folded hands before the seated figure. Behind them, a group of young people in saffron/orange robes with rudraksha malas sit on a cushioned mat, several with hands folded in greeting; one wears a white headband. The setting is dim, with a floral-patterned cushioned seat at left and a woven basket at lower right. The bowing man's white ritual clothes and the seated figure's ceremonial garland suggest an honouring or welcome ritual, but the seated figure's face is not clearly visible and the cues are insufficient to establish identity.2013-04-03July 07 20142014-07-07A photograph inside a plain blue-walled room where a seated man in a rust-red robe and red-orange shawl, wearing a rudraksha mala and ornate bangles, holds up a long garland of marigolds, green leaves and pink flowers. Two devotees bow before him: a woman in a purple top and white sari bends forward with hands joined, and a man in white shirt bows at her side. A standing attendant in saffron-orange robes with beads and a staff stands behind him. On the left, seated women in sarees watch with hands folded. Framed pictures and a small deity image hang on the wall. Overlay text reads 'Receiving Swamiji'. Watermarked archive photo.2014-06-22 +1 copiesA photograph of a home padapuja in progress. A seated figure with long dark hair, wearing a maroon sleeveless top with red rudraksha and white jasmine garlands, smiles as a man in white shirt and glasses with a rudraksha mala touches the forehead of a kneeling woman in a white sari with gold necklace and jasmine in her hair. The woman holds her palms together in namaskar. A standing man in white dhoti and yellow shawl stands at the left edge. Pink patterned curtain and cream wall in background.2014-06-26A photograph of a devotional blessing at night. On the right, a seated figure in a red-orange turban, orange-and-gold shawl and a long red-and-blue beaded garland extends one hand toward a bowing older man in a white shirt and white dhoti with a white cloth tied at his head and hands pressed together in namaskar. The seated figure wears gold earrings and a bangle and is bare-shouldered. Two other men stand at left in white and a checked shirt, and a few onlookers are behind. The seated figure has long swept-back hair and ornate clothing with a red turban, showing qualifying presentation cues, so this is Swamiji (probable) giving a blessing to a devotee.2015-08-09April 18 20132013-04-18A photograph of a shaven-headed figure in an orange-red garment with a gold border and a white jasmine garland with red flowers places a hand on the forehead of an older man in a white shirt and red shawl, who has his palms pressed together. A young girl in a patterned dress stands beside them with a small folded paper or offering in her hands. Warm lights and a dark backdrop frame the scene, with a golden trident-topped staff visible at left and carved wooden panels at right. The figure with the garland appears to be giving a blessing to the older man.2015-07-21August 09 20152015-08-09February 15 20072007-02-15Night-time outdoor photo of a padapuja-style welcome. A central figure with short dark hair, bare-chested under a rust-red and gold-bordered wrap, wears a long multicoloured garland of red, pink, yellow and green flowers and rudraksha beads, and smiles while extending his hand toward an older man in a white shirt and white dhoti with folded hands and a red-beaded necklace. Behind them a woman in a white sari with folded hands and a man in white stand among onlookers. On the right, a woman in a yellow-orange sari holds a brass kalasha with a yellow fruit and mango leaves. A saffron-clad figure stands at the left edge. A street light and tree are visible behind.2014-06-22 +1 copiesA photograph of a seated, long-haired figure in a white dhoti with a gold-bordered shawl and a multicoloured flower garland, bare-shouldered and wearing a rudraksha mala, touching the forehead of a kneeling devotee in white clothes and an orange-red shawl with a rudraksha-style mala. The devotee sits with palms pressed together, with a tilak on his forehead and a gold bracelet on his wrist. Behind them, several standing men in white kurtas and orange shawls watch, and two electric fans stand in the hall. The image appears to show a blessing moment in a satsang-style gathering; the seated figure's hair and garland are visible but the figure's identity is not established by appearance here.2006-07-30
