Photograph inside a temple shrine at night, showing a group of people gathered before a gilded deity murti and small oil lamps on a ledge. A man in white dhoti with a gold border stands with his arm around a woman in an orange-red sari. Beside them a man in a yellow-green dhoti and white cloth holds a burning lamp, and a bare-chested man in a white dhoti with a yellow shawl stands nearby. On the right a uniformed police officer in khaki with a brown belt watches. Ornate decorated pillars frame the doorway, and a painted panel with figures hangs above. The page excerpt mentions a Madurai Aadheenam guru puja and procession, but the image shows only the shrine scene.
