Crowded interior of a temple shrine at night. Several men in white dhotis with orange-and-gold borders and bare upper bodies, one with a shaved head and orange cloth, move up stone steps toward an inner sanctum. A uniformed police officer in khaki stands at left and another at right. A figure in a saffron-orange garment with a garland is visible near the centre. Painted and carved guardian figures with moustaches stand beside the doorway, and devotees with shoulder bags and a photographer with a camera crowd the foreground. Walls show painted scenes.
