One hand, with henna-patterned fingers and a white garment sleeve, receives a small bundle of dried grass tied with thread from another hand bearing a blue-ink trident-like tattoo on the back. Wisps of incense smoke rise in the background, and a small metal figurine of a seated deity murti and a flickering oil lamp sit on the altar below. Out-of-focus saffron and orange robes fill the backdrop.2014-11-27 +1 copiesClose photograph of a person in an orange robe seated on the floor, with a bare hand held out palm-up, cupping small red and orange petals or offerings. A beaded bracelet is worn on the wrist. Another person in white clothing sits behind, and a beige cushion or seat is visible at right. The scene suggests a padapuja or similar ritual offering with flower petals, though only partial bodies are visible; no full face is shown.2009-09-07December 15 20092009-12-15Close photo of a person's hands holding a small folded bundle wrapped in brown fabric with gold-yellow ribbon edging, held over the lap. The wrist wears multiple rudraksha bead bracelets and gold beaded bangles. Behind the hand, a figure in a white garment and rudraksha mala is blurred, with a flower garland of white and red blossoms at the right edge and an orange-clad arm at the left. The scene suggests a puja or ritual in progress, with the background softly out of focus.2016-10-11Close photo of a seated man in a white dhoti with a gold-bordered cloth, shown from the chest down. He holds his open right palm up and uses his other hand's fingers to place a small dark object, possibly a seed or dried fruit, into it. Brass ritual vessels, a brass plate with white rice, small brass cups and a stand sit on a woven mat and tiled floor at the lower left. Only one physical person is visible, and his face is not shown.2017-01-15
